Healthy Snacks

  • Fruit juice - try Buddy Fruits individual fruit pouches or Buddy Fruits & Vegetables. Stella freezes the Fruit Tubes for a hot day treat for herself and Daisy!

  • Baby carrots, pretzels, low-fat whole-grain crackers, or small baked potato with yogurt based dressings

  • Individual cups of applesauce

  • Individual pizzas made with whole-wheat English muffins topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese and a few veggies on top (sautéed sweet peppers, broccoli, mushrooms)

  • Cereal topped with low-fat yogurt and fresh fruit slices

  • It's much easier to prepare NUTRICIZED snacks when you have the ingredients on hand. So decide what snacks you want to include in your diet and make a shopping list.

  • Cut veggies into small sizes and place in small containers in the frig at a child's eye level.

  • Kids will eat most items when served with dip. You can make a healthier dip with Greek yogurt.

  • Make it a habit to send healthy snacks to work functions, school parties, and sports events.
