One For Me...One For You
Doggy Bandana

OMG!  Your BFF (best furry friend) and your friends’ BFFs will love this present.  You can sew these doggy bandanas in 2 seconds (exaggeration – maybe 15 minutes!).

Here's what YOU will need:

  • Find 2 pieces of material that go good together.  I chose the pink gingham and green flowered material for Lilly and Daisy and the blue striped/red for Sammy.

  • Click here for the pattern.  The pattern is for a dog the size of Lilly.  Here are the sizes:

  • Small (Lilly's size): 6-inches wide, 3-inch band and 4-inch triangle

  • Medium (Daisy and Sammy): 8-inches wide, 4-inch band, and 6-inch triangle

  • Large (Doug - he's in one of the books!): 10-inches wide, 4-inch band, and 8-inch triangle

Here's How YOU Can Do it:

Put the right sides of the material together. Then lay the pattern on top of the wrong side and cut.

Sew along all the edges, but leave an opening about 2 inches at the top of the bandana so you can turn it inside out.  You can see the pins on the upper left hand edge of the bandana.

Then turn the bandana inside out through that opening you left.

Iron the bandana.  Make sure you fold the edges of the unsewn edge in.

Turn the bandana inside out and with something that has a point, like a point turner.

Decide which material you want to show the most.  Then turn the top over 3 inches and iron.

Stitch close to the edge.

Put your dogs collar through the opening.

And now you are DONE!

Now it’s up to you to create your VERY OWN original!!!
