Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Whenever I need to bribe Bowsie or Annie to do something I want to do ... but they might not want to L ... which is pretty much ALL the time J, I make this recipe in the slow cooker.

And Daisy L♥VS her Meaty Growlers that go right along with our Taco Soup. Be sure to save 1/4 cup of the cooked ground beef to add to Daisy's favorite Meaty Growlers.

1 pound lean ground beef
2 cups frozen corn kernels
1 red pepper, diced
1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes
1 small can (4 oz) green chilies (optional)
1 package (1 oz) taco seasoning
Sour cream
Taco chips

1. In the bottom of a skillet, brown ground beef. Drain and add to the bottom of the slow cooker. Save 1/4 cup if you want to make the Meaty Growlers for your 4-legger.

2. Add the corn, red pepper, black beans, diced tomatoes, green chilies, and taco seasoning. Put on low for 4 hours.

3. Before serving, top with sour cream and taco chips.
